Nalini Castillo is a singer and sound based practitioner based in Southern California.
Hello and welcome! My spiritual journey on the path of yoga and as a professional singer has led me to the core belief that sound is the source of all bliss. I’ve spent many years crafting the vocal arts. From studying opera, too both forms of Indian classical voice (Carnatic and Hindustani) as well as the study of Baul music
It’s a continuous learning journey that never ends!
What I’m offering is a way to find your own voice through sound-based practices. Nada Yoga (Vocal toning) and spontaneous singing, that I will lead you through. This includes basic Hindustani scales (Sargams) vocal toning and a musical mantra practice. No musical background is required! Just an opportunity to open to your own unique voice.
Nalini has 30 years of professional vocal experience and 15 years of sound based yoga practices. Her training began at age 15 years old with Gloria Bennet whose technique was based in Operatic vocal training techniques.
Later on she studied Carnatic classical voice with
Tulsi Ram

This led her to continue her studies into North Indian Classical voice.
With Sudhanshu Sharma of New Delhi, India.
